Year 3 is a very special year as children begin an important stage of their learning in Key Stage 2. We aim to make the transition a happy, positive and exciting experience while encouraging every child to become more confident, independent and enthusiastic learners.

Our Year 3 team is committed to creating a caring, supportive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and able to thrive. We look forward to working closely with parents and carers to support each child throughout the year.

  • Miss Unsworth – Class Teacher, Monday to Thursday
  • Miss McDonald – Class Teacher, Fridays
  • Mrs Lowther – Teaching Assistant, Monday to Thursday
  • Miss Ball – Teaching Assistant, all week

Classroom Routines and Expectations

In Year 3, we encourage all children to:

  • Show our ‘Three Bs’ - Be Ready, Be Kind and Be Respectful.
  • Show kindness to everyone.
  • Take pride in their work and try their best.
  • Read regularly at home.

 

Our PE days are:

  • Wednesday – Mrs Jones
  • Friday – Miss McDonald 

Please ensure children wear appropriate PE kit.

 

Reading:

Reading is at the heart of everything we do. We read together every day in class and we encourage children to read at home as often as possible. Please make sure your child brings their book to school every day.
